Why we chose it What put it on our list 4 points
    • It guarantees IgG. The packaging says 25% IgG, and the label shows 235 mg of IgG in 945 mg of colostrum per two capsules, about 25%, at the low end of the 25 to 30% our colostrum guide cites. The maker says the minimum levels are verified by laboratory testing.
    • The colostrum comes from the first milking of cows not given rBST at USDA Grade A dairies, says the maker. The label calls it pasteurized cow pre-milk.
    • The label is short: colostrum, a vegetarian (hypromellose) capsule and sunflower lecithin, with no blend.
    • At the maker’s price of about $65 for 240 capsules, two capsules cost about $0.54, or about $0.41 at Vitacost’s $49.
Trade-offs What to weigh before you buy 4 points
    • Testing is described, not shown. The maker says all colostrum is laboratory tested and verified free of pesticides and antibiotics. It mentions no heavy-metal or pathogen results, names no lab and posts no certificate.
    • The maker’s directions are two capsules twice a day (about 1.9 g of colostrum and 470 mg of IgG). Vitacost’s copy of the label says two capsules once a day. Either is at the low end of the doses in the trials our guide covers. At the maker’s dose, 240 capsules last 60 days, about $0.81 to $1.08 a day.
    • Naturade’s own site showed every Colostrum Plus size as sold out on 22 October 2026. The 240-count was in stock at Vitacost.
    • No country, farm or grass-fed claim, and “first milking” does not say how many hours. The pasteurization method is not stated. It contains milk: avoid it with a dairy allergy, and ask a clinician first in pregnancy.
What to know Details worth knowing first

Bovine colostrum is the first milk after a cow calves. Our colostrum guide says the best evidence is for lower gut permeability in athletes, and it asks for a product that states its IgG. Symbiotics guarantees 25% and shows the numbers: 235 mg of IgG in 945 mg of colostrum per two capsules.

We list it as the mid-priced pick. It states the IgG, names the milking (the first) and the kind of dairy (USDA Grade A, no rBST), and keeps the label to colostrum and a plain capsule. A 2020 lab study of 20 commercial colostrums found large differences in activity, so a stated IgG and a first milking are the right things to look for.

What we could not confirm is any batch testing for metals or pathogens. The maker says it tests for pesticides and antibiotics and verifies IgG, but shows no report. If that matters to you, ask for a certificate of analysis for your lot. Naturade’s own store was sold out when we checked.
