Reviews are personal experiences, not research, and they never change our quality ratings. Every review is read by our team before it appears.

Why we chose it What put it on our list 4 points
    • NSF’s Certified for Sport database lists “Vitamin D3 & K2 2000 IU 60 ct” (Core Med Science / OIAM Performance): capsule, 60 count, one capsule a serving, lots 23104, 512006 and MW608011. A second listing, “Vitamin D3 & K2” under Core Med Science, shows lot 512006.
    • The label is short: vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 2,000 IU and vitamin K2 as MK-7 100 mcg, with microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide as the only other ingredients.
    • 2,000 IU is half the 4,000 IU upper limit for vitamin D, and the K2 is one named form (MK-7) at a stated amount.
    • The maker’s price is $16.99 for 60 capsules, about $0.28 a day.
Trade-offs What to weigh before you buy 4 points
    • Vitamin K2 can interfere with warfarin (Coumadin) and similar blood thinners, and the maker’s page warns about blood thinners too. If you take one, ask your prescriber first, or use a vitamin D3-only product.
    • The case for K2 is thin. Our K2 page describes one 3-year trial that used 180 mcg of MK-7 a day, and says protection of the arteries is unproven. This capsule has 100 mcg.
    • There are no public batch results. NSF’s listing shows lot numbers, but we found no certificates of analysis on the maker’s site, so heavy-metal results are not available to read.
    • It is a young line. The store’s product feed dates this page to July 2026, NSF lists it under two brand names (Core Med Science and OIAM Performance, whose site now says it is moving to Core Med Science), and the page’s marketing copy (fracture risk, mood, energy) goes further than the research we cite. The page also carries a standard California Prop 65 warning, and a June 2026 Prop 65 notice (AG 2026-03039) alleges lead in a different Core Med Science product, its chocolate whey protein.
What to know Details worth knowing first

Vitamin D3 is the form most people supplement, and our supplementation guide covers doses and testing. K2 is the add-on: our K2 page describes a trial in which MK-7 went with less bone loss in postmenopausal women, and notes that its effect on arteries is unproven. This capsule pairs 2,000 IU of D3 with 100 mcg of MK-7.

It is on the list because NSF lists the product and its lots in its Certified for Sport database. NSF checks products against their labels and screens for banned substances, and the database is public, which is more than a maker’s own “third-party tested”. Core Med Science is a small brand and this line is new, so we have less history to go on than with older names.

Two cautions. K2 and blood thinners do not mix without a prescriber’s approval, so people on warfarin should choose D3 on its own. And there are no batch results to read. For what seals can and cannot tell you, see how to tell if a supplement is pure.
