Lelit Bianca V3 Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

A dual-boiler machine whose maker names stainless steel boilers (AISI 316L on the colored versions) and an AISI 304 outer tank. A retailer lists the group as chrome-plated brass; Lelit does not say the brass is lead-free.

Best for Someone who wants a dual boiler with maker-stated stainless steel boilers and flow control, and accepts brass in the group.

Why we chose it What put it on our list 4 points
    • Lelit names both boilers as stainless steel. The sheet for the colored versions gives “AISI316L Stainless steel steam boiler: 1.5 l” and “coffee boiler: 800 ml”; the stainless version’s sheet and the product page say “stainless steel”.
    • On the stainless version Lelit says the outer water tank is polished AISI 304 stainless steel. It holds an inner tank whose material Lelit does not state, and Whole Latte Love lists the reservoir as BPA-free plastic.
    • The box holds a 70 L water softener filter, IMS baskets (9 to 11 g, 14 to 18 g and 18 to 21 g), a blind basket and a stainless steel tamper.
    • No Prop 65 notice and no recall naming Lelit turned up in our searches on 2026-10-22.
Trade-offs What to weigh before you buy 4 points
    • Lelit does not describe the group, tubing, pump or inner tank. Whole Latte Love lists the E61-type group and portafilter as chrome-plated brass; nothing says the brass is lead-free.
    • Lelit publishes no parts list and we found no third-party one, so the hoses, seals and pump cannot be read the way they can for the ECM and Profitec machines.
    • Cover differs by seller: Lelit’s own warranty is 12 months, Whole Latte Love lists 3 years and Seattle Coffee Gear 1 year.
    • At about $3,000 it costs more than five times the Gaggia Classic Pro. Portafilter machines released the most metal of the three machine types in a German test, especially after descaling (PMID 26436214; machines not named); the test does not tell us about this one.
What to know Details worth knowing first

The Bianca V3 is Lelit’s dual-boiler machine with a flow-control paddle. Lelit names both boilers as stainless steel, and its sheet for the colored versions gives the grade, AISI 316L. On the stainless version the outer water tank is polished AISI 304 stainless steel too, though Lelit says it holds an inner tank and does not say what that is made of.

Beyond that, Lelit says little. It does not describe the group, tubing or pump, and it publishes no parts list. A retailer lists the group and portafilter as chrome-plated brass, and Lelit does not say whether its brass is lead-free; our guide to lead in cookware and food explains why we ask.

The one German test of coffee machines found metal release highest right after descaling, and its authors recommend careful rinsing afterwards. That applies to any portafilter machine. We are asking Lelit which parts touch brew water and whether its brass is lead-free, and we will update this page with its answer.
