Natural Force Organic Clean Coffee Whole Bean (Medium Roast)
Reader ratings
Posts full Eurofins reports for its 2025 crop: ochratoxin A below 1 ppb, but glyphosate was detected in the green beans. Organic status could not be confirmed, and its “toxin free” page title overreaches.
Best for People who want to read an independent lab report behind a “clean coffee” brand and accept its gaps.

How we evaluated it
Why we chose it What put it on our list
- A named lab and the full reports. Natural Force posts Eurofins certificates for its 2025 crop: green beans (report 5146799-0, 14 November 2025) and roasted beans (report 5123442-0, 27 October 2025), plus a green-bean report for its decaf (5125567-0, 28 October 2025).
- In the green-bean report, ochratoxin A is below 1 ppb and each aflatoxin is below 0.5 ppb. Lead and mercury are below 5 ppb, arsenic is below 10 ppb, and cadmium is 5.58 ppb (copper, a nutrient, is 11.9 ppm). Apart from glyphosate, every pesticide in the coffee screen is below its reporting limit.
- The roasted-bean report shows yeast and mold below 10 CFU/g and acrylamide at 185 mcg/kg.
- The bag carries a best-by date that the company ties to roasting: subtract 10 months for the approximate roast date. The coffee is nitrogen-flushed and sold as whole beans or ground, so nothing hot touches the packaging.
Trade-offs What to weigh before you buy
- Glyphosate was detected: 0.04 mg/kg in the green beans and 0.07 mg/kg in the decaf’s green beans. Both are under the EU’s limit for glyphosate in coffee beans, 0.1 mg/kg, but the page title promises coffee that is “Toxin Free”, which its own report does not show. Glyphosate is not allowed on organic farms, yet glyphosate-related residue is not unusual in organic coffee: Clean Label Project’s 2025 study found AMPA, a glyphosate breakdown product, in all of the organic coffees it tested.
- The reports cover one 2025 crop sample, not each lot. Natural Force says it tests “a representative sample of coffee from a selected crop”, and the green report notes two samples composited. Eurofins marks the pesticide screen and the glyphosate test as not ISO accredited; the metals and mold-toxin rows carry no such mark.
- USDA organic status is unconfirmed. Natural Force says the coffee is USDA Organic, but we found no operation named Natural Force in USDA’s Organic Integrity Database (searched 22 October 2026). The certified handler may be a co-packer; check the bag.
- No roast date is printed, only the best-by date, and we found no statement of how the decaf is decaffeinated.
What to know Details worth knowing first
Natural Force does something many “clean coffee” brands do not: it posts the full Eurofins certificates for its 2025 crop, with the lab’s name, report numbers and dates. In them, ochratoxin A and the aflatoxins are below 1 ppb, and heavy metals are at trace levels.
The same reports also show glyphosate in the green beans at 0.04 mg/kg, and 0.07 mg/kg in the decaf’s. Both are below the EU’s limit for coffee beans, 0.1 mg/kg, but they sit awkwardly beside a page title that says “Toxin Free”. Our glyphosate guide explains where such residues come from.
The reports describe one crop sample, not each bag. We could not match the company’s organic claim to a USDA listing, no roast date is printed, and we found no decaf process, so we are asking for the organic certificate and the decaf method. Most coffee tests within food-safety limits (see our mold-toxin guide), so treat the reports as a plus and the gaps as reasons to compare.

| What we checked | What we found |
|---|---|
| Published lab tests Verified | Eurofins reports for a 2025 crop sample: green (14 November 2025), roasted (27 October 2025) and decaf green (28 October 2025). Mold toxins, pesticides, glyphosate, heavy metals, mold and yeast, and acrylamide. Not lot-level. |
| Pesticide residues Verified | Glyphosate 0.04 mg/kg in the green beans (0.07 in the decaf). Every other pesticide in the screen is below 0.01 mg/kg or its reporting limit. The EU limit for glyphosate in coffee beans is 0.1 mg/kg. |
| Heavy metals Verified | Green beans: cadmium 5.58 ppb, arsenic below 10 ppb, lead and mercury below 5 ppb. |
| Organic or residue-tested Not verified | Natural Force says USDA Organic. No operation named Natural Force in USDA’s Organic Integrity Database (searched 22 October 2026). |
| A roast date Maker’s claim | No roast date is printed. The company ties the best-by date to roasting: subtract 10 months (company support article). |
| Chemical-free decaf Not verified | Not stated on the pages we found. |
| Hot coffee kept off plastic Maker’s claim | Sold as whole beans (or ground), so nothing hot touches the packaging. |
| Notices and recalls Verified | We found no FDA or CPSC recall naming Natural Force. A 2018 Prop 65 notice (AG 2018-00888) named the company over lead in its Organic Plant Protein, not coffee; the Attorney General’s page lists no settlement or judgment. Notices are allegations. |
What the labels mean
- Verified We opened an independent record that confirms it: a certifier’s listing, a regulator’s list or a lab report. It is linked under Sources.
- Maker’s claim The maker says so on its own page or label. We read it but found no independent record.
- Not verified We looked and could not confirm it, or the maker does not say. Treat it as unknown.
