Clothing & underwear

Underwear, base layers and everyday clothes made from natural fibers without PFAS or antimicrobial finishes.

What we look for
  • Certified textiles: GOTS organic or OEKO-TEX Standard 100, with a certificate number we can look up, or the maker listed by name in the GOTS database for that kind of product.
  • Natural fibers next to skin: cotton, wool, alpaca, linen or silk, with any elastane or nylon percentage stated.
  • No PFAS finishes: no stain-, water- or odor-repellent treatments, or a statement that none are used.
  • No antimicrobial finishes: no silver, triclosan or “odor-control” chemistry in fabric worn all day.
  • Dyes and trims named: undyed or low-impact dyes, and the elastic and thread materials stated.
  • Period and leak-proof underwear without a named lab’s PFAS or total-fluorine report for the style sold.
  • “Antibacterial” or “odor-free” fabrics that do not say how.
  • “Natural” or “eco” labels with no fiber breakdown.
